Manchester-based producer Mick Destitute debuted late 2022 bursting on to the scene with a handful of intriguing IDM / ambient / breaks compositions that harked back to the introspective and detailed sounds of Burial, Synkro, and Phaeleh.

Grabbing the attention of BBC6 Music, FIP, France Inter, and many more high profile European radio stations, his detailed productions resonated across the board and established him as one to watch in independent electronica.

Now following up with a new EP inspired by birds - 'Canopy' he reveals the title track that sees him delve deeper into his sound and continue his explorations into breaks, foley, and found sounds with ambient textures.

Explaining further the producer himself states:

"I used the sounds of birds and forest sounds as percussion, birds hold a place in my heart, the freedom they own, and the beautiful colours of tropical birds. How they format in the sky is my inspiration for these tracks, I wanted everything to feel in place without trying."
